This artistic book has been made by scanning pages from 5 editions of The Secret Garden, published between 1963 and 2021, and named from the average edition number of these copies. By reprinting on acetate, this book celebrates the unique differences in design between different editions of the same novel, found on pages which are often overlooked in favour of the text. It acknowledges the changes to book design since the first featured edition was published, and aims to immerse readers in the themes of The Secret Garden without featuring any of the story itself. As a personal favourite from childhood, this book represents my connection to books throughout my life, from enjoyment as a child to a deeper appreciation as a graphic designer.
